Audiences can get a surprising amount out of surprisingly little information. If Fox is finding stuff out on a need-to-know basis... the audience is basically in her shoes, aren't they? So if the audience needs to know slightly more, find a reason for FOX to need to know slightly more - or rather, find a reason for some other characetr to need Fox to know more. Give her something to do that requires that information.
